A Note from the Publisher - Farewell and New Welcome

By Jo Beth Bootz July 31, 2017

What gives you butterflies? It’s a question I ask myself quite frequently in my personal and professional life. As we get older, it can be easy to avoid the question and just assume that butterflies don’t exist in the adult realm. The reality is that butterflies are everywhere - you just need to know where to find them.

In March 2015, I had the pleasure of taking over the role of Managing Editor for The Local. For the past two years, I’ve enjoyed working with contributors to make this publication a resource for each and every subscriber. I can’t tell you how much I have enjoyed your email messages and ideas for content that were directly applicable to your business needs.

I am writing this note (very bittersweet) as I step down from this role to focus my time on other major projects within the Macaroni Kid Family and outside work. I’m off to chase new butterflies in my work life and can't wait to tackle recent opportunities that have come across my desk.

Next month, you will receive this publication from a new Managing Editor and I can’t wait to watch the continued growth and sharing of ideas.

Before I depart, I wanted to share some of my favorite “butterfly” inspiration that will hopefully inspire you and your business.

I want you each to have a ridiculously amazing life.

Be brave and creative. Watch this video if you need that extra push.

Be intentional with EVERYTHING you do, especially when it comes to digital technology.

Thank you for supporting this publication and my efforts behind the scenes. I wish you all the best in your business endeavors and invite you to stay connected with me at jobethb@macaronikid.com

Take care!
